Let's Go Camping
In our Western Washington woods this September
Let’s have a Masonic camping trip! Bring yourself, bring a friend who would make a great Mason, bring the family. Let’s have a great time!
Here’s the details:
We’ll head to the beautiful Lewis & Clark State Park.1 It is a beautiful facility in an extremely convenient location. For those in Western Washington I would guess it is only about ten minutes off I-5. For anyone coming from Eastern Washington it is just off Highway 12.
You can learn all about the park, and its location here:
It is my plan to arrive at the park on the afternoon of:
Thursday, September 10
I plan on leaving the park on the morning of:
Monday, September 14
You can come for a night or two, the whole time I’m there, or extend your own stay earlier or later than I. Those are just the dates I’ll be there.
I will be in site number 14.
There are currently 17 sites available for all of the nights I will be there. Sites 15 through 25 are all available as I write this and make a good cluster. 1 through 7 are also available, and not far away.
Sites 7, 17, and 18 are nearest to restrooms.
Each of these sites are suitable for tents, or RV’s up to 20 feet long. Showers are available, and each site comes with a picnic table. None of the sites have RV hookups.
Cost is $37.00 per night.
Each site includes parking for one car, additional cars require a separate fee, and will need to be parked elsewhere in the park.
If you are looking for larger RV sites, with hookups, those are available elsewhere in the park. There are currently five of those available, and those site numbers are preceded by a ‘T.’ Ie: T5. These larger hookup sites are within the park, but across the Jackson Highway. (It’s not what you envision with the word ‘Highway,’ think little country road.)
When you go to make reservations, there’s a pretty good map showing where everything is located.
This is not a large park, you can get a map here:
And a brochure here:
Beyond the official stuff, here’s a Youtube video that shows parts of the park, and at the end shows every site within the park so you can see what you’ll get:
That’s just about all of the information I have to share.
I’m not planning anything formal, just inviting everyone to come along with me. Much like the trip I hosted to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico some years ago it’ll be unplanned informality. This time you don’t have to jump on an airplane!
If you do want to come along, I would strongly suggest that you reserve your campsite ASAP. Lewis & Clark State Park is quite small, and State Parks always fill up fast. Right now there is plenty of availability, but I don’t imagine that will be the case soon.
You can make reservations right here:

I hope that you can join me!
If you have any questions, just drop them in the comments below.
Likewise, leave a comment if you plan to come so I know who to expect.
If you make reservations to join me, please don’t confuse this with the Lewis & Clark State Park Trail. That is located in Southeast Washington. Lewis & Clark State Park in Southwest Washington is where we will be.

How often do y'all go to Masonic Family Park near Granite Falls WA? I used to stay in a shelter there for a week, and drive to work at the Boeing Commercial Airplanes 777 Final Assy Line each day.
Count me in! I'll plan on being there.
