A few of us will work upgrading our financial record keeping and projections. We only recently learned about GV financial capabilities.
We’ll have duplicate systems for a year as we copy financial records and transactions to Grandview. If it does what we hope, it will be our sole system.
We may still have some custom reports to create but it will become easier to engage the Lodge.
Our second upgrade: our Secretary has plans to make short education pieces become a regular part of our meetings. We’ll work our way to guest lecturers etc.
I didn't realize that Grandview now includes resources for fiscal record keeping. I'll be curious to learn how it works for your Lodge.
Excellent to learn that your Lodge will be bringing in short education components! I think that such things are vital for retention, as we need to send our Masons home with something of value from every meeting if we hope for them to return.
We just finished cooking up 47lbs of haggis for our annual Robert Burns supper. Washington4.org/supper
Our WM has arranged a warm reception for us in Hawaii in February. Many of our lodge members will be making the trek to visit with Brothers in Honolulu.
We have also reignited work on our long term plans for the Lodge...one of the many projects that was started, then laid aside as more pressing issues presented themselves
I have to admit, I'm one of the few people out there who enjoys haggis!
And Hawaii is such a great place to visit. I hope that your Lodge has a truly wonderful time there. Trips like that are superb ways to build Brotherhood.
Thank you Brother. I know that I would enjoy it, and will see if I can make it work with my schedule. It is taking place during my busiest work time of the year.
We have some brethren looking time-charter our State’s research lodge.
We have some brethren looking to start an “Observance Style” lodge.
Locally, we have some brethren interested in getting their certifications. Officer Proficncy mainly, but one was talking about getting his lecturer’s card.
We’ve got some guys obsessed with adding a superfluous door to the lodge room when we have much more pressing flooring needs. That’ll be a protracted battle I’m sure.
Two new, different styled and operating, Lodges would be great for the Jurisdiction I imagine! Get some excitement going.
Ah, yes, ignoring long term needs for easier building projects. Having sat for so many years on a Temple Board, I've got lots of experience with those discussions as well.

Staying alive in 25.
That's good! If you croaked, you'd start stinking the joint up!

OK, those both sound awesome!

You should join us. There's even a haggis auction at the end of the night 😁

We have a few irons in the fire.

We have to redo the bathroom floor in our lodge, and soon 😬
Ah, yes! We are in the middle of some bathroom repairs/improvements at Centralia Lodge as well!
