I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas Holiday, and that 2022 is your very best year yet!
But speaking of 2022, when the New Year rolls around, many of us often reflect upon plans for the upcoming year, or changes we would like to make.
So, let’s chat about it…
What would you like to see your Lodge do in 2022?
Beyond your Lodge, is there something special Masonically that you would like to do in 2022?
As with every Sunday, we will have a gathering over Zoom tonight at 7:30 PM, Pacific Time for those with a paid subscription to Emeth. The login details will go out at 3:00 PM.
Tonight’s topic will be: minimum standards of Lodge participation. But of course we can, and often do, range broadly in our discussion.
1) I'd like to see a more concerted effort to get our Brethren back in Lodge.
2) Do some fund-raising activities, if for no other reason than getting members to participate.
3) We already do practices, especially for up-coming degrees, but I'd like to do some Masonic education on our practice nights. How about PiLM studies? Good for students as well as teachers!
My lodge is always looking to do fund raising but the last time was before covid. I am hoping we can get going again in 2022. We are also looking at some type of lift for better access to our lodge room for Brother who have difficulty with stairs. Hopefully we can get better signage on our property so other driving by will know they are seeing a Mansonic lodge buliding.
We’re changing a few things:
- improving our budget process and financial record keeping
- uploading minutes to Grandview
- adding Masonic education to each meeting
- adding practice / planning meetings on our off nights
- improving our communication with members
We’re off and running with these, and will get better with practice over 2022.
Big projects to add:
- long range planning
- regional web site
- centennial celebrations in 2024

Just my thoughts...
