May I turn this around and ask what other Lodges are doing to promote their presence in their community…

A few younger members want to meet and plan for the next Masonic year where we should go, how to find events to set up at…

Two things discussed is an Open House and Pancake Breakfast, wear Masonic hats….

Who wants to add…

I think that an open house is a great idea. Your Lodge has a great building that is worth showing off. My Lodge did this in the past as part of a historical buildings tour, and I know that resulted in at least one new Mason. We also did it very recently as a part of our cornerstone re-dedication, and that cemented one man's desire to become a Freemason. We've also joined our local downtown association, that allows us to know about upcoming events at which we might be a great fit.

Another thing we have done (pre-pandemic, hopefully it gets picked up again) is offer candy to trick or treaters on Halloween. We've done this with our Rainbow Girls, who made sure that a little card about the Rainbow went out with the candy. As parents get more and more paranoid about their kids wandering through neighborhoods, trick or treating in business areas grows more popular.

My Home Lodge has done something unique and interesting for quite a few years. They drive the cars dignitaries ride through parades in. This has resulted in extremely close relationships with some of the most influential people in the City.
