As for the Ai situation:
I've thought about this a great deal over the past few days. I'm 100% on board with the idea of not doing anything at all to promote Ai written content, Masonic or not.
For one thing, it is a lie to claim authorship of something that was actually written by a computer. Secondly, as mentioned, such things offer no new thought. They simply scrape existing thought from the internet and re-write, re-package that existing thought. That offers no new benefit to our Craft, or our society.
My hesitation is that I think it is probably Ai generated content. I don't know that it is Ai generated content. And I hate to punish someone's efforts because of what I think instead of what I know.
And it would be punishment. Emeth is by far the largest Masonic endeavor in this particular online ecosystem. If I pull the traffic that Emeth generates for him, he will receive virtually none.
Ultimately, I've suspected this for a while, and was troubled by it, but my heartburn grew exponentially over the past few days when I noticed that he had turned on a paid option. To charge people for writings that one didn't write is deeply troubling to me, if that is indeed the case.
While my list of things to be grateful for is quite long, it would be incomplete without my appreciation for the fine content you create! All the best to you and the family.
