MWB Bailey, this comment leads me to believe you have something brewing…

We look forward to joining the celebrations, honoring those who came before, and considering those to come.

“The thing is though, it shouldn’t be hard to get a good Witches hat. Hat Bodies (what a hat is before it is made into a hat) are actually cone shaped. So, it should just be a matter of getting a high quality hat body, blocking it to size while leaving the cone, and then defining the brim.”

So in other words, you can obtain a cone-shaped item in your house, then take one of your Stetson hats, steam it up well, then run it on the cone until it forms a nice cone shape. But like you say, you’d better make sure a proper brim is made, otherwise it’ll look like a dunce cap. I don’t think that’s what you want. Also, you’ll want to take several pictures of your hat before you cone-ize it, so that way you can steam it up and return it to its original shape on November first.

Or you could just go with the straight-up cone shape, but to prevent the dunce cap look, you can dress up like Beldar, but you’d need to use a tan Stetson hat to pull it off.

You can thank me later for the excellent ideas I come up with.
