Get Ye To Kent!
For what is going to be a superb Masonic day
If Masonic education is your thing, you’re going to want to be at Verity Lodge in Kent later this month. They have a superb lineup of speakers planned, and are topping off a day of really solid Masonic education with a Table Lodge.
Here are all the details:
I have heard most of these speakers in the past, so know just how great this is going to be.
In fact, we had an extended family BBQ this past weekend, at which Jaime Paul Lamb came up in discussion.
Regrettably I’m unable to attend this year, but I certainly hope that if the opportunity works for you, you’ll be there!
I also want to take this opportunity to write, just a little bit, about the importance of supporting events like this.
I’m often rather disappointed when a cool Masonic event like this is scheduled in our area, I attend, and I see just how few other Masons are there. I remember a few years ago when a Washington Lodge brought in a nationally renowned Masonic speaker from across the country. The event was really well publicized, but when I looked around the room, there were very few people there beyond the members of the Lodge itself.
Likewise when I attend the really amazing Esotericism in Freemasonry Conferences held in Ballard each year. I wonder why that Lodge room isn’t standing room only.
If we hope to have events like this continue, we must support them. We must support them financially, and with our presence so that they can pay for themselves, and encourage their organizers.
If you can attend, please do. I know that this is going to be a real highlight of the Masonic year!
The need for a revitalization of Freemasonry is often discussed, right along with the importance of Masonic education to support the Freemasons of today. Events like this help us to do just those kinds of things, they support the great mission of creating truly Legendary Freemasonry!
If you can attend, I hope that you will.
I understand that the event is open to all Masons including EA’s and FC’s. There is also a virtual option at:

Thank you MW Cameron for posting about this! We are excited to have this Symposium on Saturday, 6/21 and you are right, the speaker line up is fantastic. It is not to late to register (see flyer Cameron posted). The cutoff for registering for in person is Wednesday, June 6/18. $50pp paid ahead through PayPal and this includes the Table Lodge dinner. Cutoff for virtual registration will go until Friday.
BTW, Verity Lodge No. 59 is going to have a Masonic evening on Friday, 6/20 for those who are in the area, PD Newman and Jamie Paul Lamb are going to do a joint presentation Friday. Casual Dinner at 6:30pm, Masonic presentation at 7:30pm. This is not a tyled event or Stated meeting but it will be for Masons only.
Cross posting this for visibility. I believe a Brother kindly offered to show up at any event VWB Doug Carr was at with an exceptionally large gavel in tow, whilst hiding those suited for normal Lodge operations... Perhaps they will make good on this?
