Hope Cascadia Mystic and Esotericon are very successful for you.

Maybe if you have a good response from people you might have enough interest to do it again and broadcast the lectures and events on Zoom or a live podcast, and find a larger audience that you don't need a large venue (and the costs/headaches that come with it) for. That would keep it cosy for in-person attendees and still let others attend from home.

There is a large, multi day, quite wonderful event sort of like Cascadia Mystic held in Portland, Oregon each year. But, as its scope is so large it is beyond the price range of lots and lots of people.

Our idea with Cascadia Mystic was to have a single day, much less fancy event, similar in content but with radically reduced cost so that anyone who wants to attend can afford to attend.

That's a long way of saying that yeah, a Zoom option would fit in very well with that event, keeping costs even lower for those who need them to be.

We won't be able to tackle that with this first one though. (It is an event that we plan to continue doing into the future.) This first one will be already testing our limited technology abilities within the Lodge building. Screens, sound systems, projectors, all things we aren't very used to using. But, once we get all that figured out properly during this first one, we could tackle the additional technology needed to zoom it on the next one.

Beyond that, ticket prices have been a driving concern since the idea was first hatched. As there are costs that have to be covered, primarily taking care of our speakers, but as mentioned above, we want Cascadia Mystic to be as affordable as possible. Any profits, assuming that there are any, will be donated to the Twirl Foundation, a local charity that our Lodge has proudly supported in the past.

Good morning MWB,

Who are the keynote speakers and Cascadia Mystic Convergence? Sounds interesting.

You all have some great Masonic events up there! Wish I was closer-I would absolutely attend.

Yeah, I think that all three of these are going to be really great.

I am hoping to attend Esotericon this year, and wish I didn't have a conflict for the Mystic convention. Keep up the Great Work and thank you for sharing these!

Just be sure to leave Esotericon before that Bailey guy with the big hat speaks. I'm told he's dull and dry as dirt! 😎

No worries, I'll reserve a seat by the fire alarm in case of brush fires. 😜
