I regret that we are unable to hold our regular Rummer & Grapes zoom gathering tonight.
We decided to travel to see our youngest daughter this holiday weekend, and I won’t be home in time to host our online gathering.
But, we’ll be back next Sunday, per normal!
I look forward to seeing you then.
And, I’d like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to you, for your support of Emeth. None of this would be possible without you.
P.S., I do hate to whine, but I’ll do so anyway.
While you are enjoying a day off tomorrow, shed a tear for your humble correspondent who will be working all day. Alas, while in Session, the Washington Legislature does not break for any holidays. So we members of the Third House will be toiling away.
How’s that for a good whine?
Thank you again, for your support of Emeth.
Cameron, did you know that it has been 10 years now since I first stepped foot on the Capitol campus on behalf of our Fraternity? Hard to believe.
Also, I do remember asking you if the Legislature worked on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. You said they worked all the holidays. I remember Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of 2015 very well. It was an extremely busy day! That day is the beginning of the second week of Session, and things really start kicking in.
In many ways I miss working up at the Capitol. It was a challenge; however, it was really cool watching how the wheels of government work, and how we can make a difference.
