Please join us one month from today, August 12, 2023 for our second annual BBQ Competition. It’s going to be a great time!

Bring your Smoker or Grill to join the contest where we will determine just who is the Greatest Masonic Pit Master of All Time!

Or, just come on by and spend the day enjoying amazing BBQ and amazing Masonic fellowship!

Either way, I promise it will be great!

At VW Clay Anderson’s beautiful property:

Winners should expect awesome recognition and prizes! Losers should expect to go home crying! So bring your very best!

We will have superb fellowship, great Masonic discussions, and a full day of fun.

The event will be open to competitors who want to show off their amazing skills, and those who just want to hang out with the finest of Masons while enjoying superb meats! Bring On The Meat! And beer. Can’t forget the beer.

The plan for the day:

We’ll serve the competition meats & sides at 6:00 PM. We’ll all vote on the winners as we sample everyone’s creations.

The much more detailed plan for the day:

Come when you would like. I presume that some Grill Masters will need to start cooking quite early.

We’ll have some tremendous Masonic fellowship, while the amazing food cooks. We may also explore some educational Masonic topics together. Things that we can take back to our Lodges to create better Lodge Experiences.

At noon, I’ll feed ya Lunch. Something simple off the grill. Simple, but I promise good!

Who can come?

Masons, Wives, Girlfriends (but not both at the same time please), and the Kids. Everybody! No dogs though, gotta leave the dogs at home. Not even Coop Dog gets to attend. Please do bring your own lawn chairs if you can.

Costs:

For those holding a paid subscription to Emeth, $20 ($20 for your lady too)

For those who don’t hold a paid subscription to Emeth, $30 ($30 for your lady too)

Kids Free, cause they don’t eat much!

Here’s the deal:

We need to know how much to cook, otherwise we all risk starvation.

So, if you want to come, you have to give me a very firm RSVP by August 9. Sooner if you can. If it is easiest, you can RSVP by posting a comment here, or replying to this email.

If you want to compete, the more people doing so, the better!

Bring your BBQ, and what you are gonna be cookin’ and strut your stuff!

Have your wonderful creations ready by 6:00 PM.

We’ll all vote, so the competition shall be fair.

The winner, Ye High Grand Champion, shall of course receive an impressive trophy, and the ability to mock the losers until they cry.

Just think how awesome that Emeth BBQ Competition Trophy will look in your Living Room (or the garage after your wife makes you move it there.)

If you plan on cooking, let me know when you RSVP of your plans to do so, so that I can make sure there is enough room for your setup.

Lastly, we will have Robert Morris Lodge Raffle Tickets for sale. 10$ each, 500 tickets total, winner receives half a beef. Last year an Emeth subscriber won this raffle, and we want to keep that tradition alive! Just think, if you win, you’ll be all set for the 2024 Emeth BBQ Contest!
