One of my favorite campgrounds was the Masonic Family Park near Granite Falls. A few weeks I lived there, but commuted driving to work on the Boeing Commercial Airplanes 777 Final Assy Line.
Some of the best Masonic conversations come about when brothers just talk with each other about what is important in their lives, what gives them joy, what gives them pain, and the impact Masonry has had. Shared personal stories bring people together, and you don't need to call a meeting to share them. Around a campfire sounds great. Enjoy your time together.
Despite all the theories of Masonic this or that, I believe the highest form of Freemasonry is simply friendship among fellow Masons. When that is lost, the organization is lost. Friendship is the only tangible element of Freemasonry.
I am looking forward to those discussions MWB Bailey. I agree that we should be able to manage civil discourse regarding spirited topics, its one of the things our past Brethren often spoke about at great length. Conflict cannot be avoided, combat is a choice.
